Reiterating her husband’s administration’s determination to cater for the well-being of Ekiti people, Mrs Fayose noted that the programme was meant for all patients, irrespective of their political or religious lineage.

She advised women to desist from giving birth to the numbers of children they will not be able to cater for in the face of the present economy meltdown. She also charged health workers in the state not to relent in their efforts to promote family planning awareness.

“Giving birth to too many children is not healthy for women, not healthy for an individual, by the time you are having 3 to 4 children, you should be planning to stop‎, so that you will be able to look after those children,” she advised.

The wife of the governor later presented cheques to the benefiting patients.

She also presented wheelchairs to Chief Bamidele Aribisala and Omolade Babalola as well as safeguard materials to the State Specialist Hospital, the Methodist Health Centre and the Comprehensive Health Centre, Odo-Ayedun, all in Ikole Ekiti local government areas of Ekiti state.
