CELEBRITY FOOTBALL CLUB CHALLENGE, THE THRILLING ENCOUNTER

Frank Edoho thrilling the fans

Few weeks ago, it was  reported on NIGERIANECHOES of  a celebrity football fans challenge where top Nigerian stars will battle each other in support of their favourite European football clubs.

9ice, Reminisce, Frank Edoho, Ill Bliss, Timi Dakolo, Fred Amata, ID Cabassa and Segun Arinze faced off this weekend in support of their favourite clubs.

The event, which took place at the Blue Bar and Pool section of Fourpoints by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos, lived up to its hype as the stars showed off their knowledge of football.

The celebrity competition was anchored by sports presenter, Kibati Bankole in a referee’s kit.

9ice (Chelsea) and Illbliss (Arsenal) started off  the games in front of a panel of judges that included former Super Eagles player Sam Sodje, comedian Still Ringing, sport analysts Biola Kazeem and Mathew Adafe.

9ice also did the famous Congolese goalkeeper Robert Kidiaba’s jubilation dance to emerge victorious against Illbliss. He went home with two gongs.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host, Frank Idoho, locked horns with singer Timi Dakolo in a keenly contested Chelsea/Arsenal battle.

Timi demonstrated his love for Arsenal and trumped Frank when it came time to sing their respective clubs’ anthems.

Nollywood stars Fred Amata and Segun Arinze were drawn against each other in another Arsenal vs. Chelsea encounter.

Not allowing Chelsea’s current poor form weigh him down, Segun defeated Fred.

Then former Coded Tunes act Reminisce of Manchester United went up against his erstwhile producer ID Cabassa of Chelsea.

Reminisce brought the house down when he sang Manchester United’s famous anthem in Yoruba to defeat his former boss.
