According to AfricanFootball.com, the Nigerian coach, who had visited England in a bid to convince the youngster before the start of his coaching job, confirmed that Ibe has chosen the Three Lions ahead of Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Oliseh tweeted: “Jordon Ibe’s family informed me by a telephone call, that he was giving priority to an England call-up. We wish them well.”

Only recently, England coach, Roy Hodgson expressed his desire to see the U-21 international play for the senior national team.
He however, insisted the Liverpool has to earn his place if he must play for England.

Recall that Ibe was recently listed by Naij.com on a list of four Nigerian stars who are likely to dump the Green and White shirt for England’s colours.
