Wife stabs husband in Enugu over money for noodles

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested one Joy Umeh of No 13 Unubi Street, Achara layout, Enugu for allegedly stabbing the husband over feeding money.

It was gathered that the suspect stabbed the husband identified as one Sunday Umeh on the stomach over his inability to give her enough money to buy indomie noodles.

Sources told DAILY POST that the woman was in the habit of quarreling with the husband.

The spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect is already helping the police operatives in their investigations while the injured husband is now receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the Eastern Nigeria medical centre Enugu.

“The Enugu state command of the Nigeria police Force through its operatives of Uwani Division have nabbed one joy umeh of no 13 unubi street Achara layout axis of Uwani Enugu for allegedly stabbing the husband one Sunday Umeh on the stomach over an allegation of non fulfilment of family financial responsibility for some days.

“It was gathered that following the incident that allegedly occurred on 25/8/15, the entire arena was thrown into confusion as sympathizers that gathered thought that the man has given up the ghost.

“The suspect is helping the police operatives in their investigations while the injured husband is now receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the Eastern Nigeria medical centre Enugu and is recovering gradually,” Amaraizu stated.
