PDP EXTOLS FORMER PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN AT 58

Former President Goodluck Jonathan 



The party in its congratulatory message described the former president as a man of peace and extraordinary global citizen who it praised as an icon of humility.

The felicitation message was made available by the publicity secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh on Friday, November 20.


The PDP statement reads in part: “The Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the PDP family nationwide celebrates a quintessential democrat, icon of humility, a remarkable man of peace and extraordinary global citizen, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR) as he turns 58 today.

“Your Excellency, the PDP and indeed all lovers of democracy world-over, join your family in giving thanks to the Almighty God for His numerous blessings in your life as you celebrate this milestone.


“We are indeed proud that in various ways you have demonstrated that the true essence of statesmanship lies in applying its uncommon values to the general good rather than self and that one get to the very top and yet remain honest and humble.

“As you mark your birthday, we pray God to continue to grant you good health, wisdom and many more years so that mankind will continue to draw from your wealth of experience, forthrightness and exceptional statesmanship.”

Meanwhile, former spokesman to the Jonathan, Reuben Abati took to Twitter to celebrate his former boss on turning 58 saying “When things are rosy people come around but when thing get bad they desert you.” It was learnt that  no associate of the former leader placed birthday wishes to the former leader something they gladly did when he was  at in the helm of affairs.
