Ronaldo named world most charitable sportsman

The Real Madrid superstar was recognized for his generous work, beating the likes of John Cena, Serena Williams, and Neymar to the title.
Hate him or love him, there is no denying the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo is a generous man.

Now, the Real Madrid man has the credentials to back that claim, with the 30-year-old former Manchester United man having been named the world’s Most Charitable Athlete, in 2015’s Top 20 Athletes Gone Good list, for his effortless, selfless philanthropy-like work.

RONALDO POSES WITH KIDSnominations from the public, the athlete’s influence on social media and advice from the Athletes Gone Good Advisory Committee, comes after Cristiano famously donated $83,000 to pay for a young boy’s brain surgery in the summer of 2014.

Furthermore, the three-time Ballon d’Or winner spent $165,000 to fund a cancer treatment center, whilst also covering all expenses for a boy who woke up from a coma to travel to Dortmund to see his favorite team, Los Blancos, play in the Champions League.
