August was a rather slow month for the wordsmiths, one of the major highlight of the month was Naeto C dropping an album, however some rappers still impressed.

Naeto C – Soft
Off his “Day 1” album comes this laid back rap tune – Soft, produced by Sossick, vintage Naet0 was on display on this one.
Mr Raw ft. Phyno – Odi Okay
Mr Raw was the pioneer of Igbo rap, he pushed the envelope to the likes of Slowdog, Phyno. It’s only right for him to do a song with Phyno; the veteran and the prodigy
CDQ ft. Cayana – OooBi
CDQ has been one of the stand out indigenous rappers in 2015, he has constantly held his own all year long. He served up OooBi with his partner in crime – Masterkraft, as usual he caught our attention.
Stunna ft Koker – Rude Boi
Stunna hired Chocolate City’s golden boy – Koker for this feel good rap single dubbed “Rude Boi”, they both complement their efforts, Koker is definitely one to look out for
Prowess – Educated Thug
Prowess impressed with”Educated Thug” and it earned him a place on our list, his lyrical strength was on display.
MIJU ft. Chinko Ekun & Dj Stupor – Mental
Producer – MIJU hired YBNL Soldier- Chinko Ekun on “Mental” the rapper stays hungry on this tune
Haywire – Memoirs Of A Potential King
Just like the title of the tape, Haywire shows signs he could be king of this Nigerian rap scene if he puts in the required effort. The tape is worth the listen
