FIFA-U 17: EAGLET WHITEWASHES BRAZIL TO QUALIFY FOR SEMI-FINAL [HIGHLIGHT REEL]
Nigeria’s pursuit for a fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup title will face a stern test today, November 1, as the Golden Eaglets will be up against their Brazilian counterparts in one of the quarter final matches of the on-going Cadet Championships in Chile.
After a 2-1 defeat against Croatia in the last group game, the Golden Eaglets bounced back to winning ways to trounce Australia 6-0 in their second round game with top scorer of the tournament Victor Osimhen netting a treble.
Brazil scraped through its last 16 clash against New Zealand and must improve to beat the Eaglets.
The Eaglets are the defending champions having won the tournament in 2013 with Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi and Mohammed Yahaya the leading lights.
This time however, Victor Oshiemen, Kelechi Nwakali, Chukwueze are the leading lights.
